The LaCucaracha Chamber of Commerce invites you to visit our quaint little town located deep in the heart of Texas. We’re nestled between Amarillo and Brownsville, just a short drive from San Antonio, Lubbock, Houston, Dallas or El Paso.

Please spend a weekend with us, but come early enough on Friday to find a good seat at Jackie Sherrill Field to watch the Fighting Armadillos march to another state football championship. After a day of sightseeing on Saturday, you can rise refreshed early Sunday morning with a wide selection of more than 137 houses of worship.

LaCucaracha is made up of some of the friendliest, God fearing folks you’ll ever meet. Don’t forget to enjoy a delicious piece of pie at Granny’s Café on the square. Come to LaCucaracha for some good clean fun. Remember, our town is proud to say it doesn’t sell or serve alcoholic beverages or support bingo gambling. If that’s the kind of weekend you’re interested in, we recommend heading over to Sintown (pronounced [sen-tun]), a few minutes down County Road 102.  If you’re an Episcopal, you probably want to stay in Sintown, too.
